In her interview with Katie Couric, Sarah Palin was asked about the likelihood of another Great Depression if Congress failed to pass a bailout bill. She answered:

Not necessarily this, as it’s been proposed, has to pass or we’re gonna find ourselves in another Great Depression. But there has to be action taken, bipartisan effort — Congress not pointing fingers at this point at … one another, but finding the solution to this, taking action and being serious about the reforms on Wall Street that are needed.

What might The Dude have said if faced with the same question? How about:

I–the royal we, you know, the editorial–I dropped off the money, exactly as per–Look, I’ve got certain information, certain things have come to light, and uh, has it ever occurred to you, man, that given the nature of all this new shit, that, uh, instead of running around blaming me…that this whole thing might just be, not, you know, not just a simple, but uh–you know?
